c
Cover page
with name of project, date, and names of team members

REPORT FORMAT
The report
should be formatted as a standard business-style report (see the GDP keyboarding
book): single-spaced; default margins (1 inch), Calibri 12-point font; page
numbers in the upper right corner of header; side headings capped, bold.
Turn your
report in unstapled, either held together with a paper clip or in some kind of
folder that can be removed for copying. Make sure there is time for everyone to
read and edit the report before the final copy is printed, and remember to check
the spelling.
Everyone will
receive a copy of the report with feedback from the instructor.
PRESENTATION
GUIDELINES
Your team
will present a summary of its project at the end of the term. The presentation
should be long enough to fully describe how your team managed the project.
Everyone must present a portion of the presentation. You do not have to use
PowerPoint. Be prepared to answer questions during the presentation. If your
project involves giving a workshop/seminar/presentation on a specific topic to
an audience—for example, discussing how to use Career Services—then you should
plan the workshop early enough for you to incorporate it into your final report
and presentation.
PROCESS
GROUP INTERACTION
RECOMMENDATIONS/CONSIDERATIONS
Elect a project manager to keep the project on track (or take turns sharing this role). Some groups elect a “CEO.” Others work by consensus, with no leader.
Exchange phone numbers and email addresses. Be available to your team members.
Create subcommittees to handle tasks. Share the work.
Document everything you do on the project as you go. Take photos.
Create a yahoogroup or use Google
docs to store and share files via the Web.
Select one editor to gather the sections into one file.
